At Sierra Homebuyers, we believe in more than just buying homes, we believe in strengthening the community we call home. Since 2009, we’ve proudly served Reno and Northern Nevada homeowners, and giving back is at the heart of everything we do.

Each year, our team identifies local nonprofits making a real difference in Northern Nevada and provides hands-on support through donations, supplies, and time. Below are the organizations we were proud to support in 2025.

DECEMBER 2025

In December 2025, our team at Sierra Homebuyers had the privilege of providing a BBQ dinner for the veterans staying at the Veterans Guest House in Reno, NV. We love helping Reno homeowners, and we love giving back even more, especially to the veterans who served our country. Sharing a meal and saying thank you was a small gesture with a big impact. Thank you for your service.

JULY 2025

In July 2025, we returned to the Veterans Guest House to donate essential supplies for the veterans and their families staying at the facility. The Veterans Guest House provides temporary overnight accommodations for U.S. military veterans and their families while they receive medical treatment at facilities in the Reno/Sparks area. Our team was honored to deliver supplies that make their stay more comfortable during what can be a difficult time.

JULY 2025

In July 2025, our team donated essential household supplies to the Ronald McDonald House in Reno, including pillows, paper towels, laundry detergent, tissues, dryer sheets, and more. Since 1987, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northern Nevada has been keeping families close, providing a home-away-from-home for families who have a child receiving medical treatment at local hospitals. We’re grateful to support an organization that brings comfort to families during some of the most challenging times of their lives.

APRIL 2025

In April 2025, our team donated electronics, toys, board games, books, and more to the Reno chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada. Since 2001, BBBSNN has been creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Their mentoring program is backed by over a century of experience and proven outcomes. Littles in the program are 46% less likely to use drugs, 52% less likely to skip school, and more confident in their academic performance. We’re proud to support an organization that is building brighter futures for children across Northern Nevada.

JANUARY 2025

In January 2025, Sierra Homebuyers donated essential supplies to the Eddy House in Reno, NV, including winter beanies and gloves, toiletries, instant meals, heavy-duty bags, socks, and more. Eddy House creates a safe environment for homeless and at-risk youth to develop the life and job skills necessary for sustainable independence. As the central intake and assessment facility for homeless youth in Northern Nevada, Eddy House works tirelessly to end youth homelessness in our community. We were proud to contribute supplies that help these young people through difficult times.
